Q- What happens if my 7th grade son/daughter is absent or on a medical during a run or fitness day?
A- The student can complete a make-up assignment to earn back full credit. See make up assignment link to view the options.
Q- Do you accept late work?
A- I accept late work up to 4 days after the assignment is due. Each day late results in the loss of a letter grade. Students can re-take assessments during the unit as many times as they like in order to earn a higher grade. I would highly recommend students take advantage of this.
Q- What should I do if my son or daughter is ill or injured and can not participate in class?
A- A medical excuse will be given to a student who brings a written request from his/her parent or guardian. The note will be turned into the teacher at roll call. This request will be honored for a 1-day period only. If an excuse is needed for more than 3 days, a note from a doctor is required. Please be specific about the requested restriction. The student will be responsible for learning and making up the material presented in class.
The 2 types of modified excuses are:
1. Student dresses for class and participates to the best of his/her ability.
2. Student dresses for class and does NOT participate in any of the activities.
A doctor's note will release the student from dressing and all participation in class. Doctor’s excuses must be turned into the office before class. The student is responsible for learning and making up the material presented in class.
